General Pest Control Treatment in Sydney
Our general pest control treatment is designed for the common pests found in Sydney homes and workplaces. When we visit your property, we start by looking at where the pest activity is, and then we treat both the inside and the outside of the building.
Inside the home, we treat:
- skirting boards
- window frames and door frames
- inside cupboards, including cupboard hinges
- under sinks and other high-risk areas
Outside the home, we treat:
- the full perimeter of the building
- external door and window frames
- entry points such as vents, cracks and gaps
- under the eaves of the first storey
- the garage, shed and children’s play areas
- around outdoor furniture, bins and garden edges
We do not treat roof voids as part of a general pest control treatment, because it is not recommended for health reasons.

Pests That Need a Specialised Pest Treatment
Some pests breed too quickly, hide too well or cause too much damage for a general treatment to deal with. If you have a large number of pests or you believe you have an infestation, we will recommend a specialised treatment and explain what it involves before we book it in.
- German cockroaches need a separate German cockroach treatment because of how fast they breed and how resistant they can be. These are the smaller cockroaches you see indoors, usually in kitchens.
- A full flea outbreak needs a flea treatment that covers the whole home.
- Several ant nests or ants coming inside need a specialised ant treatment.
- Rats and mice need rodent control, and we can also seal the gaps they use with rodent proofing.
- Bed bugs need a dedicated bed bug treatment with follow-up visits.
How to Get the Best Result From Your Pest Control Treatment
The treatment keeps working after we leave, so a few simple steps make a real difference to the result.
Outside the home:
- Leave spider webs in place for at least ten days, or until they fade away naturally, so the spiders keep coming into contact with the treatment.
- Leave any residue on the outside of your windows for as long as you can, and do not clean the window frames, because we spray them from the outside. If dust sits on the window sills, wipe it off lightly with a dry paper towel.
- Wait one week before you hose down clothes lines and council bins, and wear gloves and closed shoes when you walk on those treated areas.
- Mow the lawn and clear away dry leaves, because a tidy yard improves the result.
Inside the home:
- We spray the skirting boards but not furniture or benchtops. Please wait five to seven days before you mop your floors.
- If you want to clean dust off the skirting boards, use a vacuum extension head or a dry paper towel.
- If a cleaner mops your floors, delay the mopping by at least one week or book the clean before your pest control visit.
A general pest control treatment every six months keeps pests at a manageable level for most homes.
