A homeowner in Schofields contacted us after dealing with a pretty unusual pest problem, their car had become infested with ants.

DIY Attempts

Our Treatment Approach

Because ants were likely nesting nearby and continuing to re-enter the vehicle, we put together a two-stage treatment plan to get to the source of the problem.

Day 1 – Ant Gel Baiting

We applied professional ant gel bait to the areas where ants were actively foraging. The bait works by attracting worker ants, which carry it back to the colony and share it with the nest. This is what makes it so effective — rather than just killing the ants you can see, it targets the entire colony.

Day 2 – Follow-Up Spray Treatment

We returned the next day to apply a targeted ant spray around the parking area and surrounding surfaces. This created a residual barrier to eliminate any remaining ants and stop them from coming back.

The Outcome

Following the two-stage treatment:

• Ant activity inside the vehicle stopped completely
• No further ants were seen entering the car
• The surrounding nest was eliminated

The customer was able to use their car normally again without any ongoing pest issues.
